The two main forwarding types from China are:
EXW (ex works) – the buyer organises their own logistics, collecting the product from the factory and transporting it to its final destination.
DDP (delivered duty paid) – the seller arranges all the logistics, including customs.
DDP is often expensive and leaves the buyer with little control but purchasing product ex works can lead to long customs delays and even impounded product if the correct paperwork is not in place.
